From April 18-20 April, Ocean Business 2023 will take place at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton (UK), a global meeting place for ocean science and technology professionals. This is an essential event for experts in the marine industry who want to be at the forefront and be update with the latest news, findings and technical advances in this field, as well as being a unique opportunity to establish contact with other specialists and high-level companies. The leitmotiv of this edition will be “sustainability for our oceans”, a key theme in a context of climate emergency where our seas are the main victims and are increasingly acidified and with higher temperatures.

The exhibition will comprise two halls where visitors will be able to meet equipment from over 300 of the world’s leading manufacturers and industry suppliers, test products, attend lectures and learn from the training and demonstration program.

As for the colloquiums, they will take place on the first day and the talks will deal with climate change or the needs of the so-called blue economy, there will also be a session dedicated to operations with unmanned vehicles and another about the regulations of these autonomous systems, and finally, there will be a discussion about the future of the industry and the challenges and possibilities that lie ahead.

On the other hand, the training and demonstration program will try to teach in a practical way different state-of-the-art autonomous marine systems, biological and chemical sensors, inspection tools (among many other instruments) both in the classrooms and in the port, on board vessels and in the test tank.

All activities are designed to bring the latest innovations, share knowledge, generate knowledge, generate solutions and build valuable business relationships with professionals from around the world in a constantly evolving industry.

ALFA’R together with CEEP, will be present to exchange ideas and help define the future of ocean technology, as well as to show the development of our new range of connectors for the subsea sector, which we are working on, which are essential in communication and data transmission under the ocean.
