However, the main functionality is &#13;\nrelates to the laying of cables and that&#8217;s what we&#8217;ll be talking about today.&#13;\n by telling you <strong> how the meter works at powerline level.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electricity in the subway<\/h2>\n\n<p>The&#13;\n energy companies in the cities in which the metro was installed &#13;\nwere not, at first, usually able to offer the energy &#13;\nnecessary to make it work. Sin embargo, la funcionalidad principal se \nrelaciona con el tendido de cables y es de ello de lo que hablaremos hoy\n al contarte <strong>c\u00f3mo funciona el metro a nivel de tendido el\u00e9ctrico.<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>La electricidad en el metro<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Las\n empresas energ\u00e9ticas de las ciudades en las que el metro se instal\u00f3 \nprimeramente no eran, por lo general, capaces de ofrecer la energ\u00eda \nnecesaria para hacerlo funcionar. Por ello, es normal que, al principio,\n este sistema de medio de transporte contase con su propia central de \nelectricidad, como bien ocurri\u00f3 en nuestro propio Madrid, la cual, por \ncierto, est\u00e1 disponible para visitar en el barrio Pac\u00edfico. Como \ncuriosidad, indicar que esta no s\u00f3lo lleg\u00f3 a abastecer todo el sistema, \nsino que, en momentos de precariedad como lo fue la Guerra Civil, dio \nsoporte el\u00e9ctrico a toda la ciudad.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Con\n el transcurrir de los a\u00f1os y la mejora de la capacidad de las \nel\u00e9ctricas, la red pas\u00f3 a ser suministrada por estas, pues este proceso \npas\u00f3 a ser menos costoso.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Sin embargo, se presentaba un problema considerable: la incompatibilidad entre corrientes. <strong>El metro precisa de corriente continua y las compa\u00f1\u00edas ofrecen corriente alterna.<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Para  poner soluci\u00f3n a eso se necesita llevar a cabo una transformaci\u00f3n de  energ\u00eda que, a pesar de concebirla ahora de manera sencilla, tiene su  trabajo.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:image {\"id\":1955} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/alfarsl.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Electricidad-metro-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1955\"\/><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:image -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>Conectores y contactos Alfa\u00b4R en el metro<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Es en este punto en el que nuestros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alfarsl.es\/conectores-industriales\/\">conectores y contactos Alfa\u00b4R<\/a>\n entran en juego, pues esa labor de transformaci\u00f3n requiere de la \ngesti\u00f3n y modificaci\u00f3n de la red el\u00e9ctrica para la cual se precisa de \nuna red de subestaciones y que, por supuesto, se conforma con cantidad \nde productos de este tipo y de muchos otros.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Estas\n se interconectan v\u00eda corriente alterna, lleg\u00e1ndoles, en el caso de \nnuestro pa\u00eds, 15000 voltios, a trav\u00e9s de un cableado rojo que vemos en \nlos t\u00faneles f\u00e1cilmente cuando viajamos. De esta manera se consigue que, \nen caso de darse un fallo en una subestaci\u00f3n, las dem\u00e1s puedan darle \nsoporte, formando, con ello, un sistema redundante.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>En\n cualquier caso, tenemos una energ\u00eda en media tensi\u00f3n que va a parar a \nuna subestaci\u00f3n rectificadora, la cual se encarga de estabilizar la \ntensi\u00f3n as\u00ed como de hacer que el voltaje sea menor para operar en l\u00ednea,\n de 600 o 1500 voltios. Es tambi\u00e9n en este punto en el que dicha \ncorriente pasa de ser alterna a ser continua.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Una vez m\u00e1s, aportamos nuestro grano de arena con la instalaci\u00f3n de <strong><em>feeders<\/em><\/strong>, <em>que son los que llevan esa alimentaci\u00f3n al cable de tendido del metro<\/em>. Su secci\u00f3n es variable, escogi\u00e9ndose seg\u00fan dos par\u00e1metros: Distancia a recorrer y tensi\u00f3n.
